Privacy Policy

When you create a Caseta Mix account, we collect your email address, your chosen username, and (optionally) a display name and avatar image you upload. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a stable Apple user identifier and your email (if you choose to share it).

When you make a mixtape, we store the tracks you select (Apple Music catalog identifiers), the label text and personalization you compose, and the cassette design you pick. When you share a mixtape, we store the share link slug, the optional personal note you write, and the recipient's claim + reaction events.

We do not collect contact lists, location data, advertising identifiers, or browsing history outside the Caseta Mixapp and website.

We use the information you provide to operate the service: authenticating you, rendering your library, delivering mixtapes to the recipients you choose, and (when you opt in) exporting playlists to your Apple Music library.

Aggregate, non-identifying usage analytics help us understand which features people use and which break. We use Plausible Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not track individuals across sites.

Caseta Mixuses Apple's MusicKit framework to search the Apple Music catalog, play 30-second previews and full tracks (for Apple Music subscribers), and write playlists to your library (with your permission).

Track playback happens through Apple's own MusicKit services. Caseta Mix does not store or transmit your listening history.

Mixtape share links (e.g. casetamix.com/m/abc123) are public. Anyone with the link can view the mixtape's cassette art, tracklist, and the personal note you attached (if any). Recipients who claim a mixtape with their Caseta Mixaccount create a private inbox record; the sender sees that the share was claimed and any reaction the recipient left.

We retain account data while your account is active. When you delete your account from within the app, we delete your profile, mixtapes, shares, and reactions within 30 days. Backups containing deleted data are purged within 90 days of deletion.

You can edit your profile, change your username (once), and delete your account at any time from the app's profile sheet. Account deletion is irreversible. If you need a copy of your data or have a question about how your information is handled, email [email protected].

Caseta Mix is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us at the address above and we will delete the information.

We'll update this page when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be surfaced in the app the next time you open it.
